Supports and strengthens your immune system.
Echinacea is a purple plant known to boost the immune system and prevent some seasonal infections. Recent studies have shown that it can also affect the immune system by activating certain cells and altering the body’s inflammatory response.
DID YOU KNOW ?
Endemic to North America, echinacea takes its name from the Ancient Greek term “ekhinos” (“hedgehog” or “sea urchin”), thanks to its spiny centre. It’s an ancestral plant used by Native Americans as a powerful natural anti-inflammatory to help fight seasonal infections and treat wounds.
CONTRE-INDICATION ET DANGERS:
Echinacea should not be consumed by anyone suffering from a chronic inflammatory disease and/or autoimmune disorder, or anyone taking immunosuppressants or any medication containing corticosteroids. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a chronic illness, we recommend that you ask your GP before taking echinacea.
In its April 2020 report, ANSES recommends that anyone taking dietary supplements containing echinacea or other immunomodulatory plants to stop taking them immediately if they experience any symptoms of COVID-19.
