Eases tension and helps you endure periods of anxiety, stress or overwork.
GABA, or gamma-aminobutyric acid, is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter in our central nervous system. It’s like a messenger that moves from neuron to neuron to stop prolonged firing during a period of stress. By helping to calm both the mind and the body, GABA promotes relaxation and well-being, helping you let go of any negative feelings. It’s recommended for anyone looking for a way to ease tension or help managing situations that cause stress and anxiety.
DID YOU KNOW ?
GABA was detected in 1950 by biologist Jorge Awapara and his colleagues, who were studying amino acids found in the vertebrate central nervous system. The body uses an amino acid known as glutamic acid to generate it.
Taking GABA is not recommended if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking anti-depressants or anti-anxiety medication. Do not give to children.
Doses exceeding 3 g may cause side effects such as tingling, redness, nausea or shortness of breath.
