Alleviates hot flushes and reduces sweating.
Sage (Salvia officinalis) contains oestrogen-like molecules capable of mimicking the behaviour of oestrogen. This molecular resemblance gives it properties similar to hormones in women, which explains why it’s been taken for years to help ease hormonal issues, including menopause. By partially offsetting the hormonal drop-off that menopause entails, it helps alleviate hot flushes and night sweats, while also reducing excess sweating through its tannin content, which regulates sweat gland activity.
